The V600 is made for VOCs and chemicals, and it is a good fit for wildfire smoke. It carries 18 lb of enhanced carbon, potassium iodide on coconut shell, in a 2 inch bed with 570 sq in of surface.
The carbon works on smells and gases. The True HEPA filter, 40 sq ft of media, is for particles, and Airpura rates that filter at 99.97 percent of particles at 0.3 microns. That is a rating of the filter itself, not a result measured in your room.
It cleans the air inside the room and does not seal the room from smoke outside, so on smoky days it keeps running. The fan moves up to 560 cubic feet of air a minute with no filters in. It also handles chemicals from paint, carpets, vinyl, heating fuels and ammonia.
It measures 35 dB on low and 62 dB on high, at 6 feet. Quiet on low, loud on the top setting.
Powder coated steel with felt gaskets, 23 in high, 15 in wide, on casters. Airpura rates it for rooms up to 2,000 sq ft at 2 air changes an hour with 8 ft ceilings. Change the carbon every 24 months, the HEPA every 3 years (range 3 to 5 years) and the pre-filter every 12 months. Ozone emissions: none.

Airpura V600 Air Purifier, VOCs and Wildfire Smoke, 18 lb Carbon
$999.98
I bought three of these in Dec 2024 when my flooring was refinished, one for each bedroom. It's been a life-saver, being able to live in our house while VOCs are gassing off downstairs, knowing the rooms are clear of chemicals - no smell at all - because of these amazing air purifiers. We leave them on all the time. One of them, however, is oddly louder than the other two, and not sure why.
Our G600 is 5 years old and still helping us flawlessly. We are endlessly pleased with it daily. Our construction dust dissipated without health worries.
After moving into our new build home, I was struggling with the chemicals off gassing from all the new materials. This air filter worked great to clean the air in our home and I noticed I wasn't feeling sick from the chemicals anymore. I use it now also when air quality is bad from the wildfire smoke.
One year our "chemically-sensitive" daughter's classroom at school had problematic air quality. We negotiated with the school, asking if we could provide an air filter for that classroom, and the principal and the teacher agreed. This is the filter we bought. It was placed in a corner of the room, running quietly, and solved the air quality problem. In fact, the teacher told us she appreciated the clean air. Later on, we used the filter in a small, mildly moldy rental house we stayed in for several months. This filter cleared the moldy smell and kept the mold gas and spores from becoming a health problem. Now we have the filter in our livingroom at home. Our four-bedroom (1800 sq. ft.) house is about sixty years old and has a less-than-pleasant "old house smell." We run the filter at a high speed overnight and turn it down to a quiet low setting during the day. It reduces the "old house smell" to a hardly-noticeable minimum. We also have four dogs and the filter prevents the house from smelling "doggy." We're very pleased with this filter's performance, especially its ability to clean the air in a very large area! We 're very glad we bought it and feel it was a great investment.
