Airpura 900 Series
Carbon fume extractors for salons and workshops.
Carbon fume extractors for salons and workshops.
Two fume extractors, for a room that is somebody workplace.
A salon table, a welding bay, a print room, a lab bench. The 900 line is not a living room machine. It is built for a space where the fume is produced all day, every day, and somebody stands beside it while it happens.
How to choose on this shelf
- Two units, one difference. The Airpura 900 Fume Extractor carries 20 lb of carbon. The Airpura 900 Max Fume Extractor carries 40 lb, in the same industrial cabinet.
- Carbon load decides the reorder, not whether it works. A continuous salon or industrial load shortens every interval, so price the filters into the year before you price the machine.
- The parts are their own line. The 900 Super Gas Carbon Filter, the MERV-13 industrial particle filter and the 900 pre-filter 2 pack fit these two units and nothing else on the site.
Not for: a home, and not for capture at a nail table. A table level extractor with a hose is the AllerAir Salon Pro line, which sits on the AllerAir shelf.

How to choose in four steps
-
1. Room size
Measure the room, then match the sq ft
Length times width. Match that to the sq ft in the product name. Go one size up for open plan rooms or high ceilings.
Under 400 sq ft: bedroom or office. 400 to 999: living room. 1000 plus: a whole floor.
-
2. The concern
Match the filter to the problem
Allergies, dust and pet dander call for HEPA. Smoke, cooking and chemical smells call for a real bed of activated carbon. For mold and mildew, look at the HEPA air scrubbers, some add UV on top.
Use the What it is for filter to narrow the list.
-
3. Noise
Bedrooms want under 25 dB on low
The lowest speed is the one that runs all night. The quietest unit here starts at 16.5 dB on its lowest speed. Air scrubbers built for job sites run over 60 dB on high and belong in a basement or garage.
The Noise filter uses the lowest speed figure the maker publishes, or its only published figure where that is all it gives.
-
4. Running cost
Check the filter price and how often it changes
A cheaper unit with a filter every 6 months can cost more over 3 years than a pricier one changed once a year.
Where the maker publishes them, the product page shows the filter price and change interval.
