The 900 Max is a heavy industrial fume extractor, a capture at source machine. It is made first for welding, machining and 3D printing workshops, and laser engraving. It is meant to take fumes out of the breathing zone, right where the work happens, so where you place it matters.

Two poly pre-filters, 40 lb of Airpura SuperGas activated carbon held as two 20 lb carbon filters for gas and odor, and two MERV-13 particle filters. They are MERV-13, not HEPA. These machines are made for smoke, fumes, dust and VOCs. No carbon filter takes out every chemical.

Airpura rates the fan at 850 cubic feet of air a minute with no filters in. There is no airflow figure with the filters in for this model. The speed is set on a dial.

The flexible hose with a hood, shown in some of the photos, is the Airpura Industrial Arm. It is not in the box and is sold separately. It connects to a hose or duct, with a 5 inch inlet. There is no confirmed fit to a named laser or printer enclosure.

It is loud: 76 dBA on high. The cabinet is powder coated steel on casters, 42 in high, 20 in wide (22 in with the speed control), and 72 lb. It runs on 115 V, 60 Hz, single phase power at 2.1 A.

Change the filters every 6 months on industrial units. The carbon and particle filters can go 6 to 12 months.

Warranty: in business use, 2 years parts and labor, then labor only up to year 5. In home use, 5 years parts and labor, then labor only up to year 10. Filters, UV lamps and plugs are not covered, and Airpura decides which type of use applies.
