At the table. AllerAir engineered the Salon Pro 6 Ultra "to capture chemicals, odors and particles directly at the source, before they become airborne". A 3 inch wide, 3 ft long flexible hose pulls the fume in from right where you work. It works on the fume the hose can reach, so hose placement matters most.
This unit offers the largest carbon filter in the Salon Series: 38 to 40 lb of activated carbon in a 5 inch deep bed, for chemicals, gases, odors and fumes. That is the part that takes on the smell. No carbon filter takes out every chemical, and a strong source will still reach the room if the hose is far from it.
A pre-filter traps hair and larger particles, so the main filters do not clog as fast. A Super HEPA filter handles fine dust. AllerAir rates the Super HEPA media at 99.99 percent of particles at 0.1 microns, a test figure for the filter, not a result in your salon. This unit is an approved air cleaner for the Healthy Nail Salon Program.
It takes little floor space by a station: 23.5 in high and 15 in across, the same small footprint AllerAir keeps across its salon units. It weighs 69 lb and rolls on four 2 in wheels, so it is easy to move and place. The housing is metal with powder coated paint. You set the speed on a dial, and AllerAir rates it 39 to 60 dB. Black only, 8 ft cord.
Replace the filters when you notice dust build up or odor. Every user and application is different when it comes to filter changes. The pre-filter comes out from the bottom with no tools. Warranty: the AllerAir residential Pro 6 series carries 5 years on labor and 10 years on parts (switch and motor). That warranty does not name the Salon units or business use, so confirm cover with us before you order.
