At the table. The Salon Pro 5 Plus is built for source capture: a 3 ft flexible hose puts the intake where the work happens, so it can capture chemicals, odors and particles before they become airborne and circulate. It works on the fume the hose can reach, so hose placement matters most.
The canister holds 17 to 18 lb of activated carbon in a 3 inch deep bed, for chemicals, gases, odors and fumes. That is the part that takes on the smell. No carbon filter takes out every chemical, and a strong source will still reach the room if the hose is far from it.
A pre-filter catches hair and larger particles first, so the main filters do not clog as fast. A Super HEPA filter handles fine dust. AllerAir rates the Super HEPA media at 99.99 percent of particles at 0.1 microns, a test figure for the filter, not a result in your salon. This unit is an approved air cleaner for the Healthy Nail Salon Program.
20.5 in high and 15 in across, 47 lb, on four 2 in wheels, so it fits beside a station and rolls to the next one. The housing is metal with powder coated paint. It moves 400 cubic feet of air a minute, and you set the speed on a dial. AllerAir rates it 39 to 62 dB. Black only, 8 ft cord.
Replace the filters when you notice dust build up or odor. Every user and application is different when it comes to filter changes. The pre-filter comes out from the bottom with no tools. Warranty: the AllerAir residential Pro 5 series carries 5 years on labor and 10 years on parts (switch and motor). That warranty does not name the Salon units or business use, so confirm cover with us before you order.
