It reduces what is in the room. It does not seal the room. The Pro 5 HDS is built for smoke: tobacco, cigars, wood smoke and wildfire smoke, plus buildings that permit smoking. When the smoke keeps arriving, the filters load faster, and a dirtier space means changing them more often.
A tar-trapping pre-filter catches the sticky tar particles and keeps the main filters from clogging. An activated carbon filter works on second-hand smoke, chemicals, fumes and odors, with 3,000 acres of carbon surface. A Super HEPA filter takes fine particles, rated by AllerAir at 99.99 percent of particles at 0.1 microns on the media.
The fan is variable speed, 400 CFM at the top. Noise runs from 39 to 62 dB.
20.5 in high and 15 in across, 43 lb in use, on four 2 inch wheels with an 8 ft cord. The body is metal with a powder coat. The Pro 5 line is rated by AllerAir for rooms up to 1,500 sq ft.
Replace the filters when you notice dust build up or odor, as AllerAir advises. A version with a UV lamp is also offered.

- Arrived damaged? Accept the delivery, note the damage on the carrier's receipt, and email us within 48 hours with photos. We arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.
Return within 30 days with a 25 percent restocking fee. The return must be shipped insured for full value to AllerAir in St-Laurent, Quebec, Canada.
- 30 days from the delivery date to start a return. The unit must be like new, in its original packaging, with everything included.
- Email sales@purifierhaven.com for a Return Authorization number first. Returns without one are refused.
- Change of mind returns: 25 percent restocking fee, you pay return shipping.
- Wrong, damaged or defective item: we pay all shipping both ways and no restocking fee applies.
- Refund to the original payment method within 5 business days of inspection.
