26 lb of activated coconut shell carbon in a 3 inch bed with 570 sq in of surface. This carbon filter is built for the chemicals in tobacco smoke, and made for homes with a smoker.
The Tar Barrier pre-filter traps the tar from cigars and cigarettes before it reaches the carbon. For weed smell, run the T700 at low to medium speed so the air spends longer over the carbon.
It cleans the air inside the room and does not seal it, so a steady source through a wall or a vent means it keeps running. The fan moves up to 635 cubic feet of air a minute with no filters in, and 450 with the filters in.
29 dB on low and 63 dB on high, measured at 6 feet, and the 700 series is made for a peaceful night. Quiet on low, loud on the top setting.
Powder coated steel with felt gaskets, 23 in high, 15 in wide, on casters. Change the carbon every 24 months and the HEPA Barrier every 12 months. Airpura rates it for rooms up to 2,500 sq ft at 2 air changes an hour with 8 ft ceilings. Change the Tar Barrier every 6 months, or anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on how much smoke it handles. Ozone emissions: none.
